18. A Mindset Detached from the World
十八、出世之心
1 Cultivators of the Dao who choose not to become monks or nuns must have a detached mindset from the world [a mindset that transcends the world], yet follow the ways of the world. “Be in the dust, but not soiled by dust.” We must not allow our hearts to be influenced by the red dust [the mortal world], but keep our hearts detached from it.
1 不出家之修道人，都必須以出世之心，行入世之道。在塵而不染塵，心要不為紅塵所染，心不留戀紅塵。
